ECBC Fundraising

ECBC relies on the generosity of its alumni to remain a competitive force on the river, and new equipment and funds towards coaching and training camps are always in high demand. If you would like to give, please don’t hesitate in contacting the President or the College Development Office.

Exeter To Exeter Ergathon

The inaugural ECBC/ExVac ergathon held on 5th March 2016 raised an astonishing £5,235, which was split equally between the boat club and the charity. This was a crucial step in allowing the purchase of ECBC’s two latest boats, the new Filippis Sandra D and Andúril. The boat club gives a huge thank you to everyone who donated and to everyone who took part! ECBC would also like to thank Prof Raymond Dwek and an anonymous donor, who gave so generously towards the new boats, and have played a pivotal part in the renaissance of the club.

ECBC is delighted to announce it’s Christmas present to you all – the ECBC/ExVac Sponsored Ergathon!

On ***Saturday 5th March (7th week)*** we will be pairing up with ExVac to take on the Exeter-to-Exeter distance, 220km, on two ergs to raise money for the boat club (towards the new men’s 8) and the college charity. All proceeds will be split 50/50 between the two in an event that will make sure we earn boat club dinner that evening whilst raising money for two good causes in the process!

Below is a sign-up sheet if you’d like to take part – if all the rowers do it we’ll end up erging about 5k each (which is perfect for bumps endurance training). I’d encourage you as rowers to put this distance down on the sheet. Family, friends etc. outside of the boat club (and even college!) are also encouraged to sign up as well – it’ll be a fantastic event.

The sign up sheet is available here.

Please find a sponsorship form here – print this off and get going on family members and friends for sponsorship. Don’t be put off by the fact that there’s only one sheet, if you’re racking up the sponsorship then go ahead and start another!
